We spent a good couple of hours on Saturday 19/07 viewing some very nice Hebridean Sheep in the Haddingley flock on Nigel Patrick. I treated myself to a couple of four horned rams and a couple of two horned as well just for good measure.
Not so Little Tolsta Dougary, best looking bull calf we have bred to date, think I will keep him entire and see how he develops. Will be a Bull for hire/rent next year me thinks (if he grows like his Dad Eric)
At last we have managed to get some veg out into the plot. 3 types of Cabbage, some Cauliflower and Kale as well as Onions and lots of Leeks. The Potatoes seem to have started to move, will be a bit late but we should have a crop!!!!
Have managed to gather 26 Hebridean ewes and shearlings and one ram (Fergus) off Tolsta Head. Think they may be in need of a trim. Shearing when I get back from The Great Yorkshire Show next weekend!!!
Me milking out Ruby (the cow with Mastitis). Think see is improving, is walking freely now and has her appetite back. Udders don't look quite as red and inflamed.
