Living and working on a croft in the township of North Tolsta on the Isle of Lewis

Awoke to these scenes this morning!!!!
A snowy yard
A snow covered croft
Gerraquoy Hyacinth with her new bull calf
The new addition to my herd of pedigree Shetland cattle a wee bull calf (not yet named)
Its a good job I brought the cows in when I did. Thurs was sunny and the cows not impressed with being brought in. Today everything has a covering of snow and one cow in particular is now glad to be inside. Gerraquoy Hyacinth calved a wee Bull calf in the early hours of this morning, wouldn't of fancied his chances outside in that weather.
Welcome to the world! Have you thought of any names yet?
